This past week Cole has been learning about "keeping the earth clean." Tuesday was Earth Day and at pre-school they had a lengthy discussion about collecting cans, bottles to recycle. That day, like most I ran from our house up to his pre-school to pick him up at the end of day. On our way back Cole had his eyes peeled for cans to collect so he could put them in his recycle bin. (His recycle bin is a homemade brown paper bag with a circular hole cut out of the front.) Luckily we've found our city is pretty clean and not lot of people are tossing their trash out the window. But we do have some more homes being built around us and construction sites are great for finding trash. It's like Christmas for Cole - he runs around and each time he finds a can or bottle it's like getting a new Power Ranger toy. He lights up! I keep preparing him for the recycle truck that comes tomorrow. But I'm not so sure he's going to be very happy when they drive away with all his cans from this week... I never thought I'd have a can man on my hands!
LANDRY
It's a rare moment when I find Landry actually playing with any girl toy. So when I saw her playing with her doll I grabbed the camera. She's usually running around with a super hero or dinosaur making all kinds of boy noises. Not really what I had pictured my little girl doing. But of course I still dress her in pink and put bows in her hair. Maybe there's hope for a girly-girl someday...
"A little Houdini"
Landry has always been a little Houdini and seems to be able to get out of any buckle we try. But I was really floored this week when she learned how to wiggle her way out of a 5 point harness! Imagine the shock and fear I felt as I was jogging along and looked down to see Landry out of her buckle STANDING up in the stroller. What could of been a major ouchie didn't turned out so bad... A little shiner on her forehead and a scraped up thumb. WHEW.......!
TYLER
Tyler started his golf league this past week which runs through August. Hopefully that new driver and golf bag will change the world... at least I hear that is what it's going to do...
ME
After many hours and a few little pushes from friends I have launched my new little side business "LandryAnnaDesigns". Custom announcements, invitations, any kind of card! Check out the website when you get a minute!
www.landryannadesigns.blogspot.com
I've decided to try to update this blog every Sunday - that seems to be the easiest day for me to squeeze in 20 minutes! But I'm finding this is a great way to keep a journal while keeping everyone in the loop!
